With over 20 years teaching guitar & performing experience and 15+ years of producing and songwriting, Nick is our senior management and senior guitar teacher at focus music.

Nick has vast experience in performance, and has been playing, recording and gigging in bands for over 20 years. He has performed at high profile venues across London and Cambridge, and at festivals all over the country. Nick prides himself on his versatility as a musician, and has been involved in almost every musical genre. Some notable examples follow:

• A CERTAIN KIND - He played in this band for a few years and played at many large venues and festivals, and supported some big names. They performed mainly acoustic music with a big focus on improvisation, and a strong eastern influence. On some occasions they were joined by accomplished Indian musicians who flew over to England to be able to perform with them.

• NIRIS - Nick has been part of NIRIS for a number of years with Chris Hatwell. They have gone from playing free charity gigs and restaurant entertainment to regularly headlining Solar Sounds events, releasing videos with millions of views and producing music for some of the best talent in London. Extremely versatile and unique, they have played and produced everything from ambient acoustic, classical, jazz, rock, RnB, hiphop and more. They have played at festivals and venues all over the country and also have done work for music library and sync which has been featured on the BBC.

• SOLO - he has been performing solo for many years, doing everything from working as restaurant entertainment playing jazz standards to being a one man house band at a hiphop club in London. He has released music ranging from classical guitar and rock/metal to sampled beats and entirely electronic tracks.
